The purpose of this project is to reuse discarded components from Tokyu trains and give them a second life by creating new objects. The selected waste material is reused as it is without processing so that we can know where and what the waste material was originally used for. It also makes it easier to recycle in the future. A collection of lighting is in development using the discarded straps. They are characterised by a white ring form with a round cross-section initially designed for ease of grip. Stacked and tied together, they create a light diffuser with small gaps where the light leaks and reflects on the surface.
