HOME–HOME
Exhibition, Curation
Akasaki & Vanhuyse
JP, 2026
Home–Home is an exhibition bringing together 16 designers and visual artists from around the world, whose connections have been formed over time through experiences of travelling to and from Japan.
Curated by Akasaki & Vanhuyse, the exhibition takes place within Bundle Gallery, a house designed in 1974 by Ren Suzuki, who worked with Le Corbusier in France in the 1950s before returning to Japan. On the same site, connected by a garden, stands a traditional Japanese house built during the Edo period in the Shoin-zukuri style and relocated here in the late Meiji era.
Rooted in Japanese design values and modernism, the environment provides a natural context for this dialogue. The exhibition brings contemporary works—including homeware, accessories, lighting, furniture, artworks, and photography—into conversation with the architecture and the gallery’s own collection, exploring ideas of living and creating.
